It is situated on a remote corner of Lamu island off the northern coast of Kenya. A fusion of African, Arab, Persian, Indian and Chinese influences, the richness of the Swahili culture is reflected in its food, language, art, homes and in the warm smiles for which it is known.

Nestled in sand dunes where the Lamu channel meets the Indian Ocean, each its eight uniquely designed Bandas pays tribute to its local environment and by extension, its culture. From emerald mangrove forests to life-sustaining coral beds, sand dunes to sparkling equatorial skies, Kizingocelebrates its connection with the greater web of life, that, simply makes it a home.
